The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Valuation Dispute Resolution (VDR) is a service provided by RICS that aims to provide an independent and impartial resolution to disputes arising from the valuation of property, plant, and equipment. It is an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service that can be used in situations where the parties involved in a dispute are unable to resolve the matter through other means.

The RICS VDR service is available to anyone who is involved in a dispute relating to the valuation of property, plant and equipment, including property developers, lenders, investors, and other interested parties. The service is designed to be fast, efficient, and cost-effective, and is intended to provide a fair and impartial resolution to disputes.

The RICS VDR service can be used to resolve disputes relating to a wide range of issues, including the valuation of commercial, industrial, and residential properties, disputes over the value of plant and equipment, and disputes over the value of mineral rights and other natural resources.

EDS RICS registered valuers will act as independent third-party neutral experts who will conduct a thorough investigation, gather all relevant evidence, and report on the dispute. EDS experts will then make a decision on the matter and the parties will be bound by the decision.

When, as part of Dodd-Frank, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) acting for and on behalf of the U.S. Federal Reserve and all inter-agency regulators sought the expertise to develop, implement and monitor the new National Appraisal Ordering and Appraisal Review Protocols for the United States and all U.S. territories, it came to Mr. Siegler and EDS.
Mr. Siegler holds TS Clearance with the U.S. Government, and he is uniquely qualified to practice before U.S. Government agencies in national security-related valuation and other special matters.
