RICS Valuation Dispute Resolution Umpire/Arbitration
COUNSELORS AT VALUATION®
RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Valuation Dispute Resolution (VDR) is a service provided by RICS that aims to provide an independent and impartial resolution to disputes arising from the valuation of property, plant, and equipment. It is an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service that can be used in situations where the parties involved in a dispute are unable to resolve the matter through other means.
The RICS VDR service is available to anyone who is involved in a dispute relating to the valuation of property, plant, and equipment, including property developers, lenders, investors, and other interested parties. The service is designed to be fast, efficient, and cost-effective, and is intended to provide a fair and impartial resolution to disputes.
The RICS VDR service can be used to resolve disputes relating to a wide range of issues, including the valuation of commercial, industrial, and residential properties, disputes over the value of plant and equipment, and disputes over the value of mineral rights and other natural resources.
A RICS registered valuer will act as an expert witness who will conduct a thorough investigation, gather all relevant evidence, and report on the dispute. The expert will then make a decision on the matter and the parties will be bound by the decision.
