Steven N. Siegler, ASA, International Chairman of Appraisal Review and Management (ARM) for the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), announced today that Dr. Shannon Pratt (United States of America), Mr. Chengjun Wang (Peoples Republic of China), and Mr. Hakob Sarkissian (Russia) have received the highest honor offered by the ARM discipline.
These individuals are regarded by their international colleagues as pioneers of modern valuation concepts and practices and as pillars in and to the global valuation profession, and we are honored to have them join ARM’s ranks. Each individual brings great honor to his country, ARM and the ASA, and the worldwide valuation community.
These storied individuals will be honored at separate events at the ASA’s International Appraisal Conference in Minneapolis in August. Ernst & Young and American Appraisal will host an awards dinner honoring these deserving individuals on Sunday, August 3. Luminaries from throughout the global valuation community will attend.
In honoring the accomplishments, dedication, and academic thought of these individuals, we as a society reflect on the words of Robert F. Mr. Siegler is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with and was honored to serve as the founding International Chairman of Appraisal Review and Management (ARM) for the American Society of Appraisers from 2002-2011. Mr. Siegler holds TS Clearance with the U.S. Government and is uniquely qualified to practice in national-security-related valuation and other special matters before U.S. Government agencies.
When, as part of Dodd-Frank, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), acting for and on behalf of the U.S. Federal Reserve and all inter-agency regulators, sought the appraisal expertise to develop, implement, and monitor the new National Appraisal Ordering and Appraisal Review Protocols for the United States and all U.S. territories, it came to Mr. Siegler.
